Do you want your own business for zero dollars?

As  a marketing person ( for 30 years have written business plans for a
franchise marketing company - we invent the businesses) I just had to
find out about internet/social marketing.  Starting to realize that
Oprah is a business that is probably the best internet model.  People
have to like you and appreciate your contribution; personal branding.
This creates the following - the list.  As for the technicalities of
collecting the names and the pennies for each visitor to your site -
that has been worked out to some degree and several models are tweeking
their businesses to attract more and offer more and pay more to the
users.  MLM is used to encourage proliferation.

Then I run into a concept that fits into my understanding of how to
dominate a niche.  The niche that is available to everyone of us -
first one in for your area will capture the local market - is the local
community site that has the potential to displace all the present sites
that provide information to your own local community.  Think about
that.  If your list is all your friends and neighbours you can get in
on all the sales made to everyone in your city.  You become the BBB as
you collectively promote the best green businesses available to your
community.

Anyone can set up a ning  like  transitionottawa.ning.com 
for free, steal content from all the other transition sites and plug
your own business on your own profile page.  It is what you do in your
community.  When your numbers come up, you will have revenue from the
advertisers.  You could charge a membership fee or you could be paid by
your city hall for distributing public education.  If you need more
content you can visit onlinenap.ning.com     and take whatever you want.

All the businesses I have been offered are just too darn simple and are hardly what I would consider creative.
